Announcing an Education Endowment to the Osher Collaborative Coordinating Center
The Osher Foundation has awarded a five-million-dollar endowment to the Osher Collaborative Coordinating Center for education efforts that span all seven Osher Centers. No other integrative medicine educational program builds on a foundation of such close collaboration among world-renowned academic health centers. The endowment will support the Osher Collaborative Faculty Fellowship, which provides advanced training for faculty to become highly skilled leaders and clinicians in integrative medicine.

The University of Washington Osher Center has published the article “Complementary and Integrative Health Knowledge and Practice in Primary Care Settings: A Survey of Primary Care Providers in the Northwestern United States” in Global Advances in Health and Medicine. This was the first study funded by the UW Osher Center, which was established in 2018.

Peter Wayne Named Director of the Harvard Osher Center for Integrative Medicine
Peter Wayne, PhD, has been appointed to the role of director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Wayne has been engaged with the Osher Center from its establishment in 2001 and has played a critical role in its development over the past two decades.

New Study: Can an Algorithm Predict COVID-19 Infections?

Ashley Mason, PhD, has quickly launched a robust new study,
TemPredict, which aims to understand whether an algorithm can
predict the onset of symptoms, such as fever, cough, and fatigue,
associated with COVID-19. Participants wear a sensor, the Oura
Ring, that measures dermal body temperature, heart rate, and
related metrics.
