The UCSF Osher Center’s Training in Research in Integrative Medicine (TRIM) is a research fellowship program funded by a T-32 Training Grant from NIH/NCCIH. They are requesting new applications for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowship positions to begin July 2018*.

Post-doctoral Fellowship:

This interdisciplinary program is designed for physicians, behavioral and social scientists, and doctoral level practitioners of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).  The 2 or 3-year program consists of required seminars and formal course work, individual mentoring, research and creative activity, elective seminars and classes, teaching, and a number of optional activities.  Trainees are strongly encouraged to undertake coursework in the Advanced Training In Clinical Research Program at UCSF. TRIM post-doctoral fellowships are open to individuals with doctoral degrees (e.g., MD, PhD, DO, ND, etc.) The Fellowship includes an annual stipend, plus funds for tuition for related course work.

Those interested in applying for a postdoctoral fellowship must submit an application by October 6, 2017.

Pre-doctoral Fellowship:

This one-year pre-doctoral fellowship has been developed to support medical students who are taking a research year, or PhD students in relevant fields in biological or social sciences, to pursue an intensive period of research activities and research training at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. We typically expect pre-doctoral fellows to work closely with a research mentor at the Osher Center, in most cases developing work that is based in an existing research program. We encourage potential applicants to contact research faculty they are interested in working with to develop a research project to be performed during the fellowship period.

Applicants must be in a qualifying PhD or MD/DO program, or doctoral degree program in a designated CAM practice that are licensed or certified at the state level and be able to devote most of their time to fellowship-related work.

Those interested in applying for a predoctoral fellowship must submit a one page personal statement along with a CV and an application form by September 8, 2017. Full application (by invitation only) is due October 6, 2017.
