Announcing the Endowment of the Osher Collaborative Coordinating Center
The Bernard Osher Foundation has generously granted the UCSF Osher Center a $5.5 million endowment for the Coordinating Center of the Osher Collaborative for Integrative Medicine. The gift provides permanent support for the Coordinating Center to facilitate collaborative initiatives among the six Osher Centers for Integrative Medicine around the world.
The Coordinating Center, which is based at the UCSF Osher Center, amplifies the six Osher Centers’ collective impact on health and well-being internationally, as well as maximizes the dissemination of the Centers’ research, educational, and clinical activities. Through their joint efforts as the Osher Collaborative, the individual sites work together to magnify the success of their scientific research, evidence-based care, and teaching innovations.
“Bernard Osher has long been a visionary in the field of integrative medicine,” said Dr. Shelley Adler, Director of the UCSF Osher Center. “This most recent gift ensures permanent support for the Coordinating Center, providing for synergistic collaborations among the Osher Centers worldwide.”
The Osher Collaborative recently launched this website to highlight activities and the growing network of integrative medicine professionals.
